We have an organically friendly kitchen garden, free of pesticides, where we grow coffee, cacao, vanilla as well as renowned Indonesian spices such as cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and lemongrass. We use these flavours in our cooking, baking and drinks fresh from the garden.

The garden is part of our complimentary village tour and can be visited at any time to see how the local fruits and vegetables grow and how Alam Sari embodies a farm to table attitude in our use of fresh produce in our restaurant.

Families can join visit Keliki artists at work, and take part in a painting session with a Balinese artist. There are fun activities in the village, such as our famous “From Cocoa Bean to Chocolate” workshop for kids. You can also learn to make a simple Balinese offering from palm leaves. We also arrange many other exciting activities to engage families in the life and culture of Bali- workshops with Balinese dance, gamelan, painting, the crafts of batik, silver, ceramics, masks, puppets, basketry, woodcarving and many more.
